The Max Planck research group ‘Visualizing Science in Media Revolutions‘ is organizing a series of online seminars that asks researchers, librarians, software developers, curators, archivists, and artists to reflect on the impact that digital media and tools have on their working practices. Seminar 1: From the Analogue to the Digital: On The Changing Role of the Image in Collections and Research

Description: In the first of three seminars taking place this year, librarians Christoph Glorius and Anne McLaughlin, as well as the artist Wim van Egmond, will reflect on the changing role that images play in collections and research; what impact the changing dynamic between the analogue and digital manifestation of the image has on their working practices; and how this affected the questions that are asked or could be asked. The format for this seminar consists of three 10-minute lightning talks, which are followed by questions and discussion.
