Sven Najem-Meyer is a Doctoral Assistant at the Digital Humanities Laboratory at EPFL, working at the frontiers between machine learning and classics. His research interests mainly lie in natural language processing, with a focus on neural approaches and transfer learning strategies. Before joining the  DHLAB, he studied cognitive sciences, formal logic and philosophy. He gained experience in NLP at the Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble.

His PhD is part of the SNF-funded project Ajax MultiCommentary, which aims at leveraging recent advances in natural language processing to enhance computational studies of classical commentaries
