Sara Schulthess specializes in the study of the Arabic manuscripts of the New Testament.

She completed her PhD thesis on the Arabic manuscripts of the letters of Paul in 2016 (Radboud University Nijmegen/University of Lausanne); it was published in Open Access (SNF grant) by Brill.

Since the beginning of her research activities, Sara Schulthess is active in the field of the Digital Humanities and is now employed in the Digital Humanities + group at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics  (Dorigny Campus).

In 2016-2018, she studied a trilingual biblical manuscript (GA 460 ) for the SNSF project HumaReC; in 2018-2019, she collaborated to the H2020 project DESIR lead by ERIC DARIAH . She is currently working for the SNSF project MARK16.
