I am Panayiotis, a senior PhD student at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and a member of the Distributed Information Systems Lab (LSIR). My research focuses on news analytics and particularly on scientific misinformation. I have developed SciLens, a framework for evaluating the quality of scientific news based on heterogeneous indicators. I am also coordinating the development of News Teller, a real-time news analytics platform for investigating the media landscape at scale.
I obtained my MSc and BSc degrees from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where I was also a member of the Artificial Intelligence Lab (AI). I am broadly interested in the research areas of Computational Journalism, Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Semantic Web.
