Alina Volynskaya is a Doctoral Assistant at the Laboratory for the History of Science and Technology at EPFL. Before taking up her doctorate position, she studied philosophy, literature and cultural studies in Moscow and Digital Humanities in Lausanne.
Supported by the Swiss National Foundation her PhD project questions the digital archives of science as an agency of memory and knowledge production. The research focuses on the institutional repositories, looking both at their infrastructures (particularly, Linked Data technologies) and methods (Distant reading).
