Harvard University is offering a free online data science course on ‘Principles, Statistical and Computational Tools for Reproducible Science’ through July 27th, 2020.
This self-paced, eight-week course, led by experienced faculty from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, is for anyone doing intensive data research. The instructors note that the concepts taught are intended to translate to fields throughout the data sciences, including physical and life sciences, applied mathematics and statistics, and computing.
The intermediate-level course relies on a mix of video lectures, case studies, peer-to-peer engagement, and computational tools (such as R/RStudio, and Git/Github) to cover statistical methods and computational tools for reproducible science, data provenance, and other fundamental concepts. The program culminates in a final presentation of a reproducible research project.
