OpenNews offers data review service for journalists reporting on COVID-19

On April 1, Harvard’s Nieman Lab for journalism announced that the OpenNews network has established a Peer Data Review initiative. This unique program connects reporters based on their expertise to help them develop better data-driven stories collaboratively.

The Nieman Lab reports that following a pilot project last fall, the Peer Data Review program is now open to journalists who are reporting on COVID-19.

Specifically, the service is for writers who have already acquired data for a story, but need help interpreting, presenting, or otherwise managing it in the context of data journalism.
